To have a baby shower or not to have a baby shower, that is the question!

When I sent the invitations out back in March I thought June was so far away and I just couldn’t ever imagine being 34 weeks pregnant! As we all know time goes too fast and the date came around very quickly.

I sent the invitations out as an email using Paperless Post. I have used them a number of times over the years for various occasions. They have some really nice designs to choose from.

I knew I wanted a garden party and we were very lucky with the weather. In fact we’ve been very lucky all of May and June so far. Its been hot and sunny mostly every day! We had blue skies and 24 degrees, it was perfect.

We had a party box from The Event Company which I was completely blown away by. When the box arrived I wasnt quite expecting the whole party in a box! I thought it would be a few bits and pieces. I went for the Oh Baby box and it came complete with everything you would need. For 8, 16 or 24 guests you get the following included –

‘Oh Baby’ Gold Foil Paper Plates

‘Oh Baby’ Gold Foil Paper Cups

‘Oh Baby’ Foil Napkins

‘Oh Baby’ Gold Cake Picks

Mummy-To-Be-Sash

Gold Foil Table Confetti

‘Oh Baby’ Wall Garland

5 ‘Oh Baby’ Confetti Balloons

5 White Balloons

34″ Gold Baby Phrase Balloon

‘Oh Baby Advice Cards’

A Host Planner, 5 Games with Game Sheets and stationary for all guests

My wonderful girlfriends also arranged some games which will be kept in a memory box such as guessing the baby’s birthday, weight, name, eye colour, hair colour and their wishes for them. These will be lovely to look back on.

Food wise we opted for the food made to order service from Waitrose which included platters of meat and vegetarian sandwiches and wraps, and cupcakes and mum made her delicious homemade scones which we had with clotted cream and jam.

I also had a beautiful pink personalised cake topper from the lovely Anna at Lucy Rose Party saying ‘Baby Totman’. It looked fab on the sponge cake with fruit that my husband so kindly made for me!

Baby Totman and I were throughly spoilt. We had such a lovely day and I cannot believe that was the last time I will see a lot of them before Baby T is here!

I stupidly didn’t get a photo of all of us but here I am with my bridesmaids. One of which is only 15 days ahead of me also with a baby girl!
