Our Christmas 2018

It’s the last day of 2018 so I thought I’d better post this blog before the year is out as the last thing anyone wants to see in January is anything to do with Christmas!

I hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas break and is looking forward to seeing the new year in tonight with your loved ones. 2018 for us has been absolute life changer as we welcomed our baby girl into the world during the hottest and longest summer since 1976.

Here is a little round-up or our Christmas month…

We kicked Christmas off with a Christmassy day in London. The sun was shining and the sky was blue but boy was it bitterly cold. We went to my favourite Christmas tree at Somerset House, wandered around Covent Garden admiring all the beautiful decorations and had lunch at Petersham Nurseries. It was nice to have Georgie with us this year, even though she slept for most of it.

My favourite time at Christmas is choosing the tree and decorating the house.

This year I made my own wreath which turned out ok considering it was my first one. I wrote a post here on how I made it.

Lots of you have asked for a blog post on all the carpentry work we had built-in the last few weeks so keep your eyes peeled for that in January!

We had dinner and drinks at Alto by San Carlo at Selfridges. A little winter wonderland with views out across Oxford Street.

My sister moved home after living in Dubai for nearly five years. Her fiancée came to visit from the USA so we went for lunch at The Ivy.
